Do > Think
I use Red Birch Round in part as a sketch pad of sorts. Partly an outlet for expression, partly a place for experimenting. Following wherever my curiosity takes me. It is dedicated to not just Thinking about something you want to try, but actually Doing. Success? Failure? Doesn't matter - the learning gained is the point. And the best learning happens when you close your mouth and roll up your sleeves.

AI Study
What if a creative brief went straight to AI?
This was explored with 200+ branding professionals, testing work monadically produced under five scenarios — from fully human to fully AI-driven. Think “AI takes the wheel” versus “humans in the driver’s seat” — with a few hybrid experiments along the way.
What We Found

-
Perception shapes judgment. The more participants thought AI was involved, the lower they rated the work — even when AI played a minor role.
-
Humans + humans = unpredictable creativity. Two humans collaborating generate ideas and solutions that AI alone can’t replicate.
-
AI is a tool, not a replacement. It can serve up endless options quickly, but insight, context, and craft still require human judgment.
Why it matters
The study reinforces something we already know: strategy and creativity thrive when people are deeply engaged, aligned, and thinking together. AI can accelerate the work, but lasting impact comes from insight-led collaboration and human perspective.
There’s also a little fun in seeing the scenarios play out — a reminder that creativity is part science, part chaos, all human.
